CHAIRMAN of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Onyegun, has warned that any one trying to plant mole in the party will be disappointed, adding that the party is not a favourable ground for any hidden agenda acting a script.

This assertion was made by the National Chairman of the APC John Odigie-Oyegun during a media chat with journalists at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, yesterday.

He said, “The essential fabric of APC is strong enough to withstand any attempt to undermine it. And I think there is freedom of association which is guaranteed in the constitution. If they wish to join us, that is good enough but you need to earn your place in APC. “You cannot transfer what you are in the party you are coming from into our party. Don’t expect to take the positions of the people you met in the party.”

Oyegun added that Nigerians should not be distracted by the propaganda in the media, from people who feel that the investigations into the corruption in the past is lopsided adding that the PDP has been in government for over 16 years and there is no way someone who was not involved in government will have access to the nation’s till and be probed.

According to Oyegun, “Let us say something about what is going on. It is not only at the federal level, it is happening in one or two states. The mere fact that the current leader has the courage to investigate what happened before his time is the clearest indication that he is not likely, most unlikely to repeat the same mistake because the next government would investigate him too.

“We are investigating today, let tomorrow investigate us. That is how this country will get out of the roting to which it has been found”, Oyegun said.
