British-Nigerian Artist Launches London Exhibition Featuring Ethiopian Tribes Tests The Realities of Diversity

T.R.I.B.E lip plate final - PR - SMALLT.R.I.B.E (Testing Realities Invariably Binding Everyone) is a Photography, Poetry and Interactive Art Exhibition to be held at Espacio Gallery in Bethnal Green, London from the 15th -20th March. Founded by Kay Adekunle Rufai, the exhibition will feature images of rarely photographed tribes from remote regions of Southern Ethiopia with punctuating poems and videos from documentation with the tribes.

There will be 6 nights of engaging poetry workshops, drama, debates, Yoga and much more. T.R.I.B.E exhibition will also see the launch of the a poetry and photography book of the same title launched which contains over 100 images and a back story that narrates Kay Rufai’s experiences across Ethiopia.

Kay Adekunle Rufai is a British-born Nigerian who identifies as a citizen of the world, having lived in The UK, Nigeria, and America and has truly undergone immersive cultural experiences due to his nomadic wanderlustful addiction. He is a Poet, Motivational Speaker, Photographer, Youth Worker and Creative Expressionist and founder of Universoul Brand which is hosting the T.R.I.B.E. exhibition.

His ambition is to use the marriage of varying methods of self-expression to inspire, motivate, emancipate, educate, unite and ultimately bring smiles to the people of the world. “Art is the only language that is truly universal in connecting to a person’s soul, irrespective of their background, colour, religion, ethnicity, culture, gender, ability and geographical confines.” Kay Rufai.
